Why I Can Teach You How To Become A Dual Networker (My Story):
I guess we all have one of those hard luck stories, you know the ones I mean. You get started because you had no money, no future and your dreams were crashing down around you like boulders being thrown from Heaven, that was me as well.
My first 3 1/2 years in Mannatech I failed miserably. I just didn’t get it… then one day after a meeting with the man who got me started, followed by a conversation with his upline and listening to a tape series (yes you heard me write, tapes) things started to fall into place.
The next 24 months were a blur. We went from earning $800 per month, to being a Silver Presidential, travelling the world and totally blown away by a change in lifestyle.
All of a sudden we had a lifestyle that most people dream of, making more money than CEO’s of major companies and we travelled the world with ease.
BUT there was a cost…
I was working 50 – 60 hours per week, averaging 80 – 90 flights per year and finding it hard to juggle business with having a life…
It wasn’t turning out the way I thought it was supposed to.
Yes we had the income and the fancy holidays, but we didn’t have the freedom!
This started me on a journey, and to say that this journey was a gift from God would be an understatement.
I knew I needed to keep building but I also knew I needed to make some changes.
I spent tens of thousands of dollars on attending courses, flights, accommodation, I read books, listened to CDs, and watched online DVDs.
I tested everything I was told just to try and find something that would not only help me get my life back, but give our team, and their potential business partners, the freedom that CAN come from this business.
It was in 2004 – 2005 that I, along with my business partner at the time (we ran a seminar and training company for Mannatech associates), threw over $45,000 into developing the first online training and support system.
It was a flop and we couldn’t get it to work. We had to put that down to a learning experience. A costly one. We closed that business down due to market forces and I moved my family to a little seaside community on the east coast of Australia.
It was here that the inspiration came along with the knowledge and experience to complete a vision that started back in 2004.
In the next 4 years (2006 – 2010) everything I needed seemed to fall into place. We had some trials along the way and plenty of times I wanted to throw my hands up in the air and quit, but it was a dream and you don’t let go of your dreams that easily.
Let me show you what happened in that time period:
# Thousands of leads were generated online, proving that that it could be done with a lot of work.
# We developed a marketing funnel that got those leads calling us, and if I did call someone, they were actually excited to hear from me. What a nice thought, people wanting you to call them.
# I learned from one of the top trainers (I believe she is the top trainer), Dani Johnson, on how to speak to and convert leads, this has helped me and many others to remove the fear and get the results.
# I also took what I learnt and applied it to our offline strategies. All of a sudden using the scripts we had developed and the training we had received, finding people to talk to had become a breeze.
# Our weekly training webinar series started, where people from all over the world could join in, no matter whose team they were a part of.
